IRON NEST’s full game and Demo are separate Steam products. The full release is AppID 2950790, launched as version 1.0 on 2026-08-06. The Demo is AppID 4300500, released earlier as a limited evaluation product. Shared machinery does not make a Demo walkthrough, save, mission, or balance value authoritative for the full game.

What the Demo can teach
The Demo can introduce the physical premise: receive intelligence, work the tactical map, use a ballistic calculator, requisition and load ammunition, move heavy gun controls, and observe a result. Familiarity with station placement and the idea of a firing card can reduce the learning curve.
Carry over concepts, not fixed answers. A current base-game prompt, onboard clipboard, or calculator output overrides a Demo screenshot. Community operator guides updated during the Demo period can supply vocabulary while still being wrong about current costs, unlock timing, missions, balance, or recovery behavior.
What should not be assumed to transfer
Do not assume a Demo save automatically appears in the base game. Do not move or rename save files based on a forum guess; the checked official materials do not establish a supported transfer procedure. Treat the full game as its own progression unless the live client explicitly offers import.
Mission targets, campaign order, medal thresholds, Challenge scoring, ammunition availability, ability costs, and interfaces can change between a preview product and 1.0. Old “best load” or coordinate lists require repeatable base-game verification. Likewise, a Demo Patch announcement applies to AppID 4300500 unless the same change appears in base-game notes or current play.
What the full game establishes
The developer FAQ describes the full 1.0 game as entirely single-player with Campaign and Challenge Missions as the core modes. It estimates roughly eight to twelve hours to play every mission once, while completion time varies with experimentation and repeat attempts. Challenge play adds varied situations, unlockable ammunition and abilities, and score competition.
The base-game Store lists 33 Steam achievements, full controller support, Steam Cloud, and Windows support. An official announcement reports Steam Deck verification, while the FAQ says there is no native Linux build and discusses Proton compatibility. Those claims belong to the base game and should not be inferred from the Demo.
Buying and availability questions
Use the live Store page for current regional price, discounts, bundles, and purchase availability. An audit-time US price or launch discount ages immediately and is not reproduced here. The presence of a Demo does not guarantee it will remain installable forever.
Before purchase, compare the official minimum and recommended requirements in System Requirements. Expect a manual, observation-heavy artillery simulation rather than a conventional action turret. The official estimate is a planning reference, not a refund-window guarantee or promise that every player finishes in the same time.
Choosing the right guide
If a page does not state AppID, product scope, and version, inspect its date and screenshots before following it. On this site, ordinary articles default to base-game AppID 2950790 and label any Demo evidence. The Updates hub excludes Demo patches from the default timeline, while mission pages use the official full-game achievement names.
When troubleshooting, verify the installed product in the Steam Library and copy its AppID from the Store link. A fix for the Demo’s executable or branch can be irrelevant to the base game and may create new problems.
Comparison questions
Is the full game Early Access?
No. Official material describes the 2026-08-06 release as full version 1.0.
Is multiplayer in either current product?
The checked FAQ says public 1.0 is single-player. Future multiplayer plans are roadmap status, not a shipped Demo or base-game feature.
Are there thirty shell types?
The official wording combines ammunition and abilities in a total of more than thirty unlockables. It does not prove thirty distinct shells.
