The Missions section covers the authored Campaign in IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator. It uses the official Steam achievement descriptions as the stable naming anchor, while keeping target coordinates, hidden conditions, and endings behind mission-specific spoiler warnings. The base game is AppID 2950790; the Demo is a separate AppID and cannot establish the 1.0 campaign order or solution.
Use the official operation sequence
The achievement descriptions expose a clear set of campaign operation names: Calibration Fire, Fire and Light, Liberation, Counter-Battery, Iron Road, Siege of Cartagena, The Gorge, Rock of Gibraltar, Dead Reckoning, Fire on Call, High Tide, Blind Fire, Phantom Battery, Final Harvest, and White Shells. The first fourteen have completion achievements; White Shells appears in the final gold-medal achievement and is treated as a documented campaign operation without inventing its story role.
The Campaign Index presents those names in a compact progression list. Use it to identify the page you need without reading a later mission’s objectives. Individual walkthroughs should only be published when a current public 1.0 source or reproducible run provides the order, failure conditions, and recovery—not merely a title or search snippet.
Read an order before searching for a target
Every operation uses the same core language but may change what counts as success. Begin at the teleprinter and separate objective text from supporting intelligence. Write down target class, spotter/reference information, requested ammunition or effect, friendly restrictions, timing, and any condition that changes after an impact.
Do not assume the largest enemy icon is the objective. Some operations test measurement, illumination, counter-battery response, moving targets, restraint around friendlies, or a narrative choice. A mission-specific verb in the official achievement description—land, deliver, enforce, silence, intercept, break, survive, strike, trust, answer, turn, endure, hunt, reap—signals the theme without disclosing the solution.
When an order updates, stop using the prior firing card. Preserve it for comparison, mark the new intelligence, and calculate again.
Diagnose “mission stuck” in five layers
This order prevents a technical suspicion from replacing an unread objective. It also prevents repeated firing when the target was already satisfied and the campaign is waiting for a narrative transition.
Keep story choices separate from gunnery mistakes
Steam lists four ending-style achievements: A City Silent, A City in Celebration, A City Subdued, and The Road Not Taken. Their descriptions establish that different city outcomes exist, but not the exact causal chain. A single community anecdote about a hospital, friendly unit, or final shot is not enough to guarantee an ending.
Before a mission with an apparent choice, preserve a save through the game’s supported flow, capture the complete order, and record actions in sequence. Do not reload destructively during a save transition. A credible ending guide should compare multiple completed runs or a reliable full recording and distinguish deliberate choices from bugs.
The Medals section treats these ending achievements as spoilers and does not fold them into ordinary completion advice.
Pursue completion before gold
Steam achievements separate operation completion from “earn gold on all medals” for many missions. That means finishing the objective and optimizing every medal are different tasks. On a first run, learn the order, build a correct firing solution, and finish safely. Use the newspaper/result screen to record medal names, achieved grade, and the behavior that appeared relevant.
For a gold attempt, change one criterion at a time. Exact thresholds for requisition spending, unaided fire, collateral, time, accuracy, or optional objectives must come from the current 1.0 result interface or repeatable testing. Do not import an unfinished community table as fact. The Medals hub explains the distinction between Steam achievements and in-game mission medals.
Recognize patch-related mission problems
Official PATCH 1.0 (1547) fixed localization errors that broke mission intelligence in Czech and French and corrected a duplicate/incorrect newspaper and record at the end of High Tide. PATCH 1.0 (1558) fixed save corruption, failure to enter missions after a crash, and elevation/linkage state that did not reset after leaving a mission following a shot.
Those notes create useful boundaries. If a translated order is nonsensical, confirm the patch and compare the English source text before inventing a target. If High Tide ends with duplicated media on an old build, update. If the next mission cannot load after a crash, update and verify files before resetting progress. A patch fixing one scenario does not prove that every similar report has the same cause.
Campaign navigation without accidental spoilers
Use the Campaign Index for mission names and broad operation type. Open a mission-specific page only after reaching that operation. Pages with target positions, choice outcomes, or final newspapers should begin with a spoiler warning and keep the direct answer below it. Internal links should move forward only when the next page answers a distinct question.
Demo material belongs in a comparison page, not in a 1.0 walkthrough. The Demo released under AppID 4300500 and contains its own missions and historic patch behavior. The Playtest/Beta AppID 4300490 is also outside the public campaign.
Mission FAQ
How many named campaign operations are documented?
Fifteen operation names are exposed through the current official Steam achievement set when White Shells is included from its gold-medal description. The developer estimates 8–12 hours to complete every mission once without replays.
Is every achievement a mission?
No. The 33 Steam achievements include operation completions, gold-on-all-medals awards, and four city outcome achievements. They should not be read as 33 missions.
Why is a mission page not published yet?
A title and demand signal do not support a walkthrough. Coordinates, sequences, failure conditions, and choices need current public-build evidence. Until then, confirmed material stays in the hub or campaign index.
What should I capture when reporting a stuck mission?
Record AppID, public version/date, mission name, language, the current order, target and firing card, last impact, expected transition, actual result, and whether a crash occurred. Hide story screenshots behind a spoiler warning.
